I believe that I have installed TB and/or OSE correctly numerous times, but then I could be wrong given my lack of expert knowledge of the Mac and Unix environments and install conventions. I have been looking at this for months and am getting nowhere but finally this support site recommendation from Mozilla/TB/OSE sites.Obviously, TB and OSE are not installing properly, do not launch correctly and there is no Crash Reporting or other tools I am aware of to figure it out. PLEASE help me figure out what's going on here. There is no such Alias structure or separate volume for the OSE install. I don't know if Firefox and OSE installs should be similar but I have also looked at my Mac Firefox install, also an app from Mozilla, and see only an Alias link in the Applications folder which points to a Firefox volume on the iMac mounted volume with nothing in it but another Alias and the Firefox.app. Have gone into the terminal app that you "suggested and get the same no file found" as chapjacobs did. I am a bit confused which directories should be associated with installing TB OSE or plain TB.

I am NOT an Mac expert but I know my way around Windows pretty well and have software creation experience in the Win environment and many others including some Unix (by no means an expert as in other OS's). I do NOT recall finding this AM entry in the past. I did open the Activity Monitor and this time I DID see a Process entry called EUDORA using 2.37 MB real memory and 282.18 virtual and zero CPU.

(I have done straight TB many times also), Saved the file in the download, clicked on the download file in the Download window, a window popped up that said to move the OSE icon to the Application icon which I did, there was also a Finder icon for the download dmg, when I click on the Eudora.app in the Applications window nothing happens except a warning that it was downloaded from the Internet which I accepted, specifically no Crash Report (in the past the TB icon just wiggled in the Application window). This has proved difficult due to the lack of equivalent Mac apps like Firefox, Eudora, Microsoft Calendar, Microsoft Word/Excel/Etc. My primary goal over the last couple years is to basically switch totally to the Mac and abandon Win XP. I have tried the stuff below with and without the Parallels VM running so I believe that it is NOT a factor. I also run a Parallels virtual machine with Windows XP using about 1.5 GB. I have the EXACT same problem as chapjacobs did.
